Need Professional Electrical Help?
Progress and Heritage Electric is a Generac Aligned Contractor. For homeowners and businesses in Central Virginia, the Roanoke Valley and Southside, that means a local, licensed electrical contractor who installs and services Generac backup power, from home standby generators to commercial systems and battery storage.
What an Aligned Contractor Is
Generac’s Aligned Contractor program is for contractors who install and service Generac products. It connects us with Generac’s product training, installation guidance and support, so the systems we put in are installed the way the manufacturer intends.
What We Install
- Generac Home Standby Generators: permanently installed, fueled by natural gas or propane, with an automatic transfer switch that switches your home over within seconds of an outage. See home standby generators.
- Generac commercial and industrial generators and transfer switches for businesses and facilities. See commercial standby power.
- Generac PWRcell battery storage, Generac’s clean energy solution for silent backup, alone or with solar. See battery backup vs. a generator.
- Portable generator hookups: inlets, interlocks and transfer switches for Generac portable generators and others. See portable generator hookups.
We also install other makes when they suit your home or facility better. We’ll recommend what fits.
From Sizing to Service
- Assessment: what you need to run, a load calculation, and where the generator and transfer switch will go.
- Proposal: the right size and configuration, in writing.
- Permits and coordination: electrical permit, and coordination with your gas or propane supplier and any HOA requirements.
- Installation and commissioning: set, wired, tested and shown to you.
- Maintenance: our Home + Generator plan includes yearly generator care, and commercial plans cover standby systems.
